E-OPTO is a deep-tech startup developing next-generation optical modulators for AI, Beyond 5G, and hyperscale data centers. Our mission is to enable faster, greener, and longer-distance optical communications using our proprietary thin-film glass–organic hybrid technology.
Our modulators achieve over 140 GHz bandwidth, consume less than one-fifth the power of silicon-based devices, and support transmission over 1,000 km. E-OPTO outperforms silicon, InP, and other organic platforms in speed, power efficiency, and scalability.
The global optical transceiver market is projected to grow from $9B to $18B by 2028. We are targeting a $70M serviceable market where current technologies fall short, focusing on high-performance, low-power, long-reach optical links in U.S. and global data centers.
Founded by Dr. Yasufumi Enami (Ph.D. in Optical Sciences, University of Arizona), the E-OPTO team includes experts from UC Berkeley, University of Washington, and global VC advisors. We combine deep photonics expertise with commercialization experience.
